西南财经大学5门英文慕课上线“爱课程”国际平台

　　近日，爱课程国际平台举行启动仪式，旨在疫情期间免费向全球学习者分享“中国质量、世界水准”的在线开放优质课程。平台首批上线193门高品质课程，分别来自53所国家“双一流”高校和7所专业特色高校。

　　在线课程覆盖了医学、科学、工程、农业、经济、艺术、智能、创新创业八类前沿领域。课程主讲教师中大多为知名教授和顶尖专家，如国家级教学名师李健教授、药学专家李校堃院士、经济学家林毅夫教授、医学专家张文宏教授。

首批线上课程

西南财经大学积极响应教育部号召，经过认真准备、精心打磨，学校推荐的《公司金融学》《审计学》《商务英语：案例篇》《中级宏观经济学》《国际商务》5门课程入选首批上线课程。入选门数在全国高校中名列前茅。

首批国际平台课程上线，充分展示了学校一流课程的建设成果。学校将进一步加大国际化一流课程建设，为全球抗击疫情贡献西财力量。

Corporate Finance

Zhi Xu , Ph.d in Finance, Associate Professor in School of Finance at Southwestern Unviersity of Finance and Economics (SWUFE).His research interest is in corporate finance and behavioral finance. He teaches Corporate Finance (FIN 903) and Financial Data Analysis and Programming (FEG 408).

Students study the following broad questions. How should a firm decide whether to invest in a new project? How much debt and equity should a firm use to finance its activities? How should a firm pay its investors? How do taxes affect a firm’s investment and financing decisions? What determines the value of a firm? After studying this course, students will have the capabilities to answer those questions and issue valuation reports for a company.

The Principle of Auditing

李越冬

Li Yuedong, Professor of Accounting, U.S. Certified Public Accountant. At present, She is the Deputy Director of Audit Department of Accounting College of Southwest University of Finance and Economics, the first batch of International High-end Accounting Candidates of Ministry of Finance, the Backup Candidate of Academic and Technical Leaders of Sichuan Province, the Director of Sichuan Audit Society, the Director of Sichuan Accounting Society, and the Consulting Expert of Chengdu Commerce Committee. She is a Post-Doctor jointly trained by the Audit Research Institute of the National Audit Office and Peking University, and one of the first batch of auditors for United Nations’ projects. She has presided over and participated in more than ten national, provincial, ministerial and bureau level projects, and she also published more than 40 articles in academic accounting and auditing journals, and 6 monographs including the New Accounting English Concise Course, which has been published many times and used by more than 20 universities. Besides, she also provides more than 80 lectures for companies, such as Hongta Group, State Grid, State Machinery Group, and Three Gorges Bank, local auditing institutions, and local governmental auditing offices, such as Sichuan Province, Zhejiang Province, Yunnan Province, Fujian Province, and Shandong Province.

There are ten chapters in this course referring the basic principles of auditing and big data concepts. Although this course focuses on the main concepts and contents of CPA auditing, the students can understanding governmental auditing and internal auditing easily after learning this course. At the beginning of each chapter, we first show the learning objectives to the students, and at the ending of each chapter, we show the summary chart and professional auditing terms to the students. The students also can review the main contents of each chapter by doing exercises at the end of each chapter. After learning this course, the students can understand the professional concepts of auditing and bring up auditing thinking. The captions are both in English and in Chinese, so you do not need to worry about your English!

Juan Xie, Lecturer of English in School of Foreign Languages for Business in Southwestern University of Finance andEconomics. 2012-2013 Fulbright Scholar (FLTA). She is in charge of BusinessEnglish course development and leads the Business English course team. She haswon the first prize of Business English Teaching Contest in Sichuan Province in2018. The students she coached have won the national first prize of Business English Practice Contest in 2018 and 2019.

This specialization is created for purposesof both business case study and English language study. Upon completing thecourse, students will be able to:1. Learn the basics of frequent businesstopics, including marketing, international trade, e-commerce, human resourcemanagement, business ethics, communication in business, customer service, andcompetition.2. Understand real business activities, thelatest successful business philosophy and company values.3. Practice skills of English reading, listening, and writing constantly. Be Equipped with relevant business terms andexpressions, and be able to use them in the workplace.4. Improve critical and creative thinkingby participating in situational discussions.5. Shi Chen (1981 - ), Ph.D. In Economics, professor, faculty of Schoolc of Economics, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), doctoral supervisor, reserve candidate for academic and technical leaders in Sichuan province.In 1999, he was admitted to the Economics major of the School of Economics, SWUFE, and received his Ph.D. in Economics in 2009. In September 2009, he continued to teach at SWUFE and became an associate professor in 2011. In Spring 2014, he visited the Department of International Business, Tamkang University. Professor since 2016. In the past five years, he has published more than 30 papers in academic journals and presided over a number of NationalNaturalScienceFoundationof China, Humanities and Social Science Research Projects of the Ministry of Education, and Planning Projects of Sichuan province. He was responsible for the teaching of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, DSGE Model and Dynare Application, Frontiers of Macroeconomic Research in China, the Development and Current Situation of Macroeconomics, the Analysis of National Economic Cycle, and Political Economy.

This course is aimed at senior undergraduates and postgraduate students to introduce the modern methods and frameworks commonly used in contemporary macroeconomic research, to build macroeconomic models with microeconomic foundation, and to investigate economic fluctuations, economic growth and major topics of macroeconomics more deeply than primary macroeconomics. This course aims to teach intermediate macroeconomics in a manner consistent with current macroeconomic research, and to lay the foundation for further study of advanced macroeconomics.
Since the 1980s, the dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) model has been developed as the main framework for analyzing economic fluctuations. Subsequently, New Keynesian Economics developed rapidly, providing new methods for macroeconomic policy analysis and evaluation. DSGE model has a profound influence on the research methods of macroeconomics. However, many intermediate level macroeconomics teaching do not reflect the new progress of macroeconomic system and research methods.
In view of this, this course is not intended to introduce more detailed content or more existing viewpoints on the basis of elementary macroeconomics, but rather to consolidate and improve the knowledge of macroeconomics and microeconomics acquired by the learner.It enables learners to complete the transformation of knowledge structure and theoretical framework from primary macroeconomics to advanced macroeconomics, and lays a foundation for later learning advanced macroeconomics, monetary economics, monetary policy, international macroeconomics, finance and other relevant courses.
In terms of textbook selection, there are many widely used textbooks in the existing intermediate level macroeconomics courses, but most of them are supplementary to the primary macroeconomics knowledge in terms of content, which are quite different from the actual research framework.This course is based on Stephen Williamson's "Macroeconomics" and incorporates relevant teaching materials.In the lectures and course materials, it also introduces the contents borrowed from other excellent teaching materials and academic literature. It aims to consolidate students' knowledge of macroeconomics, complete the transformation of knowledge structure and theoretical framework, and lay the foundation for future study and research.In practice, it enables learners to apply the theories and methods they have learned to analyze important problems in macroeconomics.
